New Communications Manager joins Science City Bristol
Science journalist Nadya Anscombe has joined Science City Bristol as Communications Manager.
Her main tasks will be to maintain the Science City Bristol website and to promote the organisation and its events using tools such as the Science City Bristol newsletter, social media, press releases and networking.
Nadya is an experienced science and technology journalist and has a passion for explaining and promoting science and innovation. She joins the Science City Bristol team as it is gearing up to promote Venturefest, its flagship event. "Last year's Venturefest was a huge success with more than 700 attendees and I am excited about helping Science City Bristol make this year's event even better," she says. "Venturefest is a great opportunity for Bristol's high-tech companies to promote themselves and also for entrepreneurs with early-stage ideas to find the support they need to get started."
Nadya is a chemistry graduate with more than 15 years' experience in science journalism. She has held senior positions on several national and international publications and her portfolio covers a diverse range of topics in engineering and the physical sciences. She has also helped several high-tech organisations with their PR activities and is an experienced media trainer.
